Can I use my phone or tablet to use Prisma Health eVisits?
Absolutely. Prisma Health eVisits are optimized for using all kinds of phones and tablets.

Will I need to have a camera or video?
You never need to use video for a Prisma Health eVisit. For some conditions, we may want to see a picture to help us understand what's going on. If needed, you can use pictures from your mobile device or your computer. This will be helpful in your diagnosis.

How long does it take to finish a Prisma Health eVisit?
It takes most patients about 5 to 10 minutes to finish their Prisma Health eVisit. You'll be asked different questions based on your unique situation, so times can vary.

How long will it take me to get my diagnosis and treatment?
Between the hours of 8am to 8pm, you will be contacted within one hour after submitting the exam, ifnot faster. Keep in mind, Prisma Health eVisits are accessible 24-7. If an exam is completed outside of our response hours, your information will be stored in a secure work queue to be reviewed beginning at 8am.

Am I being treated by a computer?
No. You'll always be treated by a licensed Prisma Health provider. You'll get a personalized diagnosis and treatment plan that's unique to your symptoms and condition.

Will I be treated by my own doctor?
You'll always be treated by a licensed provider from Prisma Health. We can't guarantee that you'll be treated by your doctor. We will always add your Prisma Health eVisit information to your medical record and make sure your doctor sees what care you're receiving.

Is the care I receive through Prisma Health eVisits included in my medical record?
Yes. You will also get a summary of your condition and a treatment plan to help you feel better.

Can I get prescriptions through Prisma Health eVisits?
Yes. Your provider can order you prescription medications if they're needed. They'll be sent directly to the pharmacy of your choice.

What should I do if my pharmacy isn't on this list?
We're always growing our list of pharmacies. For now, pick the closest pharmacy, or choose a national pharmacy chain. National chains can transfer prescriptions to their other locations.

Will I be charged if you can't treat me?
No. If we can't treat you through a Prisma Health eVisit, there's no charge and the system will guide you to schedule an appointment.

What will you do with my email address?
Your privacy is important to us. We will never share your email address with anyone else. Your email address is your login. We will send you secure messages regarding your health, and send you occasional updates about the system such as newly available conditions.

Can I use Prisma Health eVisits when I'm on vacation?
You are free to use Prisma Health eVisits anywhere in the state of South Carolina. We are currently unable to offer Prisma Health eVisits to anyone located outside of South Carolina.
