If you read the website. The park was closed and run down and purchased in 2020. It looks as though they have been working to fix it up. Several electrical boxes look newer. Bathroom was nicer than state park. But also ran out of TP.

Really appreciate the WiFi no office is a little weird to not talk to a human. Had to reserve online but they give you the WiFi password to do so. So had to rush to pick a spot while blocking the entrance. But it worked.

Spots are all grass and that’s weird. We actually found a slightly off level place in our site that worked perfectly once our slides were out. We’re only slightly off level without using our Anderson’s which is always nice. I like the two water spigots. One is non potable and will be nice for flushing the black tank. One thing I always hate with full hookup is Norway to flush. I’m not about to hook my black tank water hose to the portable water (I’m sure many others do)

Clear open sky for satellite tv. Not many spots with trees. We got some wind and started to wish we weren’t under the tree. But it gave a place to secure our dish.

Did go in Men's bathroom on 2 different occasions, and it looked like it hadn't been serviced the entire time we were there, out of TP, and garbages overflowing... Wife said Women's seemed ok...

Cell is non existent. Info station says t-mobile is all that works. If you look at coverage maps everyone should be on the fringe. But Verizon has been non operational in all areas near by. And we drove right by a tower. Coverage maps say att is best. But park info says T-Mobile. A booster might work if you have the right one. Don’t have one (yet)

Sites are odd with a concrete pad no where near where you need it. Says fits 45’. Were 54 with the truck hooked up and had plenty of room. So they must mean a 45’ trailer. I could easily have fit a longer rig plus there’s a gravel pad at each site I guess for parking the rigs.

There are no pull thru sites tho I watched. Someone pull in via site righ next to entrance. So can be done.

They have a bunch of brand new trailers for rent which is kind of neat.

Didn’t notice highway sounds much after 10pm it gets quiet. But it’s present during the day. We went up against the hill so we were as far away from on that hat as possible.

We were aiming for this area. Flying by the seat of our pants. Originally to stop at Rome station. But no cell service and no obvious WiFi. So pressed onto Jordan valley and glad we did as at least there’s WiFi available and it’s a larger and nicer looking park.

Will be back as there’s. O other places to base out of for this area. Unless we boondocks. Would have considered that this time but didn’t bring a generator (almost packed it but we weren’t sure we were coming out here)

We pulled in late (without a reservation) after a very long drive down 95 heading for Reno. We stumbled on this place as we drove through Jordan Valley, OR and decided to stop as it was getting dark and we were tired. Camp host came up to meet us in his golf cart when we found the office locked. He assisted with a site selection for our 38' Super C and tow car (no pull throughs we had to unhitch for the night). While they only seem to have FHU, we just needed electricity and a quiet place to sleep. It accomplished both.

Mosquitoes were so bad my husband told me not to leave the rig. He was eaten alive while getting us set up for the night. Sites were all dead grass (?) or weeds. We didn't use the bathroom or laundry facilities so I can't comment on those.

Registration is all on-line; once you arrive they do have an information sheet which direct you to a website for registration and payment. Pretty steep price for an overnight stop in a not real desirable location or park. They'll continue to get the prices as folks are forced to stop if they've had a long haul for the day. There really isn't anything else around so you either have to continue into Winnemucca or stay here.

For us this was an overnight stop on our way from Washington state to the central California coast. Site 16 was large, grass covered, and easy to back our 30-foot long trailer into. As we were only staying the night, we hooked up to the 30 amp electricity but didn’t bother to hook up to water or dump our tanks. Water was a bit confusing as the spigot in the back near the pedestal was not potable; the spigot for drinking water was near the front of the site. We arrived late, but notified the staff in advance, and they greeted us when we arrived. Overall, a fine place to stop if in the area and needing full hookups. However, next time I will probably consider boondocking for the night as there were many promising spots on BLM land further down Highway 97.

The RV Park is right on the highway--the address is misleading--the street referenced is just the entry to the RV park. Only good things were grass at the pitch and excellent WIFI but otherwise pretty awful. Road noise, tacky bathrooms, shoddy buildings, live-ins in beat up trailers. Really, keep driving.

When the power came on at 8p, we went out to hook up. That's when we discovered we were assigned to a 50 amp only hookup-- we are 30 amp. It was blowing, dark, and raining. The office phone doesn't answer. We continued using our generator until 10p. It was 44 degrees in our trailer at 6a. I asked for a $5 discount this morning. The host adamantly refused, saying it was after the fact, that we should have found her. Actually it was NOT after the fact as it was only 10a when I asked, well within our assigned time. She knows she has the only rv camp in an isolated area. But so so rude to not accommodate your customers!

They have showers (clean) and a small laundry room.
Rock house coffee in town is good. Ranch Hand hardware has a bit of everything and the paperbacks are free.
We will stay again if we are ever in this area.

Only stayed one night on my way to Montana. Inexpensive and nice wide sites. Some are close to the highway, so there is a small amount of traffic noise. The owner is currently upgrading the park, but no inconvenience was encountered.
Some Verizon coverage but no Att.
