First experience here was strange, the life I was "promised" at student orientation was not what I experienced. If you're social and really want to get involved I suggest looking somewhere else. Pertaining to events/organizations they're not very well promoted or publicized. Not a bad institution but could have better "college life" opportunities

I'm not sure if it's because the enrollment is so low, or maybe because all of the professors are completely overworked, but the one semester I spent there was filled completely with regret. I had every intention of joining the UNT system at UNT-D and then transferring to UNT, but if UNT has anywhere near the same level of professionalism,I'll pass

There is zero accountability in administration. It seems like no one that you ask has any interest in helping you and getting a call back from someone, even with an appointment, is almost impossible. Most professors get back to you in a timely manner, but it seems many are overworked and assignments often go weeks without being graded.

the financial Aid is horrible, also some professors give you work and they try to help when you ask about it. Also the Dorms are way to small and the washers and dryers don’t even work. Clothes go through 4 cycles just to get clothes dry. I’m just saying that if we a paying thousands of dollars to be in dorms. It needs to be better

If you're the person who needs your hand held throughout admissions, online classes, or signing up for classes I really wouldn't recommend this school, especially if you're looking for a typically college life. From my experience, this school is really for those who want a more affordable education w/ flexible schedule. Staff is unresponsive.

I am a freshman living on campus and it has been fun. At first, you won't think the university is much because it's only 3-4 buildings but you will eventually find yourself a clique/ community to be a part of. if you are extroverted every professor will know your name and multiple staff members will as well.

Overall, UNTD is pretty good; the social scene is suffering just a little, mainly because most classes are hybrid. The events and activities they host here are great. You have the usual clubs here:5 sororities and 3 fraternities, A few Sports, student government. However, there s no choir/band/cheer, which sucks for a university with a sports team.

The financial aid office or horrible and disorganized, it is now the end of fall semester and i still dont know where my financial aid is although studentaid site says they have it. As others have said you definitely will not get a reply via email and if you do it will not be a direct answer to your question or it will not be timely.

UNTD is close to home and its affordable. The school is small but it is growing quickly! The only thing I would say is if you are majoring in Education PLEASE just go to main UNT. The education department is a mess this semester and there needs to be many changes. The team makes/changes rules in the middle of the semester making it difficult for us

Its like pulling teeth at times to get in touch with people here. I've had to send off several emails to heads of departments to get a response back. Online will say walk in hours are from this to this but when you show up it is totally different. These things can be corrected, so all in all 90% of the workers do their job and go above and beyond.

i think there needs to be more people and aim to get students career ready as possible. Most graduates end up working on campus after graduating. The staff should be more creative in preparing the students to be in their fields rather than graduating.

Because it is still a new school, there isn't much going on. We had our very first flag football scrimmage this semester for homecoming week and the turn out wasn't great. Definitely a lack of school spirit and it is somewhat uneasy making friends unless you live on campus which is pretty hard to do since there is only one residence hall.
