If you have Celiac Disease, don't bother eating in any of the public spaces. They have one dining hall that's "dedicated" to be allergy-free, including gluten, but I went one time and it's a 20-minute walk from the Union. If you're in a dorm, I wish you good luck.

Very liberal school but there are clubs/orgs for students that don't really fit in with far-left groups. Pretty quiet on the weekends aside from Fry but that's to be expected from a commuter school.

I really want to like UNT, but its hard after going to UT Austin and seeing the major differences in quality. There's a lot of great things going on, but the school sorta knows it's role as a transfer school. The engineering program has given me a lot of unnecessary stress and headaches.. the class requirements and professors can be horrible.

Its a good school and would recommended it, I am a very shy person and here I felt pretty welcomed by the people ive met, its so easy to make friends! although I wish UNT took into consideration more on who they let in due to some crime and other dumb stuff students do.

If you are a computer science major, then please go somewhere else. You will have to self-teach yourself how to program on everything, because the professor will give you the theory but not ever program the actual topic. No professor will help you program or if anyone does expect to scolded for not knowing. DO NOT COME HERE FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE.

Very welcoming community, has frequent opportunities for the entire student board. The only issue is lacking space. The parking will traumatize students unaware of the packed parking lots, and dorms are always full. Living on or off campus both have their major stresses, but UNT is dedicated to your education. Large meal halls spread out on campus.

Good School. Look at your degree plan yourself if you want to graduate in under four years. Counselors want you to be there for four years even if you come in with 40+ credit hours. Food is good but very repetitive

pretty great school in a great area, but there are plenty of concerns about them admitting too many freshman and SO much construction. also, not the safest area to be in, but much better than some surrounding areas. coming from a small town, i don't hate denton at all, but i also don't really want to live in denton for the rest of my life.

Overall, I really like this university. I enjoy walking through campus and the community here is welcoming, at least in my experience. The classes here are great but if you are in engineering some professors at Discovery Park are pretty bad. Honestly, I believe UNT gets unnecessary hate and is actually a pretty good option for students.

It's not bad if you put energy into socializing and finding good opportunities for your future. There are a lot of resources, use them. The disability office is helpful but you need to meet with professors every time to discuss accommodations which is frustrating. Professors are automatically notified, it's a silly process.

UNT is a very friendly and inviting school, I do wish there were more options for classes like not just one time with one Professor available. But overall I really love this school. Teachers really want you to do well and will go out of their way to help students.

great school. location isn't the best as you have to travel about 45mins to anywhere outside of Denton. Internet here is ok. But often times this semester is dropped. They seem to have tech issues often. Good school for cost and living in the area.
