  He is a good professor, but the class itself isn't really online-friendly. He gives a lot of extra credit and drops your lowest test grade, but it was hard to actually learn anything in my opinion. He seems like a nice guy though, just make sure to actually reach out for help if you need it.

  He gives you everything you need to succeed. Even if you fail exams, you can still pass the class, the case quizzes & hw are worth more. Lets you have a cheat sheet in exams, and gives extra credit if you turn homework in on time

  Stats is very hard, but Hamilton made it much more doable. He's so cool!! He gives amazing lectures, but you must attend classes regularly and study outside of class to succeed. The case quizzes are worth much more than the exams, so make sure you're prepared for those. It's very possible to get bad grades on the exams and still pass the class.

  Good professor, exams are based off the reviews he puts out so the guidelines to study are great. Lectures are not necessary, but he tries to interact with the class. It's a hard course and homework can take a while.

  A lot of opportunity for extra credit from attendance & turning in HW early. He goes over multiple ways to solve problems in class so class lectures are very convenient. All homework can be turned in at the end of the semester for full credit as well. Two midterms and a final that you can use a cheat sheet for all three plus excel & a TI Calc!

  Wish I could take him in the next DSCI! His lectures are helpful, offers tons of extra credit, deadlines are not super close together so the workload is manageable, really prepares the class for exams, and really cares to help you learn. Highly recommend taking his class.

  Fully recommend taking this class in person with this professor. The material can be hard to figure out but he explains it very well. He goes over homework questions with you so there is no confusion. He gives ample amount of extra credit and is very flexible with due dates

  He's a solid choice for this class. Make sure to study and do the HW immediately after lectures, and get ready to STUDY! This class is hard, but Hamilton made it doable. 1 pg notes per exam(including final),extra credit for turning HW on time, HWs are all mastery based(you'll get a 100 on them guaranteed) and are half the grade(comes in CLUTCH!!!).

  This professor is super chill he has helped me through some tough homework questions. He also gives out extra credit which will help you out a lot. You will also need to make friends in this class since it can get confusing all on your own if you can do it by yourself. Point is that he is a good professor who wants to help you succeed.

  Do not take as an online class! Entirely self taught and the material is hard to understand - homework assignments can take hours to complete. He lets you turn in homeworks until the last day of the semester but do them ahead of time so you can do well on the exams. Webcams on for exams. This class is doable, but very stressful.

  STUDY STUDY STUDY. This is definitely a class that should be taken in person because its extremely difficult to retain the information on your own. The tests are webcam heavy so if you have test anxiety like myself, be prepared. The professor is very lenient if enough people complain so be sure to communicate with others.

  Mr. Hamilton is an AMAZING professor and clearly cares about his student's success. I took his online class and immediately realized I should have signed up for the in-person class because the material is very difficult to comprehend. I struggled day in and day out yet Mr. Hamilton was extremely patient and worked with me during office hours.

  this class felt like it did not have a professor, all self-taught. We used Hawkes which was ok but when the lessons got hard and you needed help watching youtube or asking a classmate was your only option. This class is hard and Hamilton didn't help make it any easier. He is a nice guy from what I can tell but I wouldn't take him again.

  It is a self-taught class. Textbook is mandatory and is used for lectures and hw. Hw has unlimited attempts and provides an option for a "tutor" that shows you how to do each problem. There is also an Excel case study per unit that covers all material covered in unit chapters. 3 unit exams + required comprehensive final exam, but cannot use Excel.

  I took this class online and he wasn't really all there. You're on your own and the homework can get frustrating. Some students that were really struggling have emailed him and does show sympathy.

  Plenty opportunity for extra credit. This is not easy class, pretty much self taught class the whole time. I don't think he is good at explaining material. He is nice and laidback just like everyone said. He does not do exam reviews, and exams are very differed from homework, I do well on HW, but HW does not prepare you for exam.

  Super cool guy and not boring at all. He definitely wants everyone to succeed. Only problem is the class was extremely difficult in my opinion. For this particular class, I definitely recommend him but this is probably the hardest class I have taken up to this point.

  He's an alright professor, he has class slides on canvas that he goes over, and gives out extra credit if you turn in hw on time. There's three exams and final exam. He tries to engage with the class, and answers questions.

  Do your homework on time so you get the extra credit and actually study for the tests. The final is Commutative and big part of grade. I should have ended with a B but instead got a C because of the final. It may be hard to understand lectures but you always have the Hawkes to help you teach yourself if you need to.

  If you don't mind self-teaching then you would be okay with Prof Hamilton. He's a laid-back professor and goes over powerpoints and will explain the material as well as address any questions you may have. Graded on three exams (drops lowest), Hawkes hw's, case quizzes, and a cumulative final. Gives the option of online exams(webcam) or in-person.
